SPLS Lunch Program
Letter from our lunch program coordinator, Mrs. Nell Dunlap:
Dear Parents,
I am Nell Dunlap and I have a sixth grader, Trystan Weaver, at St. Paul's and I am also one of the new Lunch Co-ordinators along with Betty Hestla. We are very excited about the program but we have to have your help for it to succeed. Monday we will be setting up our serving area, so that will be a "BROWN BAG" day with no lunches served. On Tuesday we are having a kick off of the NEW Lunch program. The All Steak will be feeding all of the children for free and Parents and visitors are ENCOURAGED to come and join us for a cost of $6.00 per person. The menu will be Salad, Parmesan Chicken, Green Beans, Mashed Potatoes, & Orange Roll. Milk and Tea will be provided by the Lunch Room Staff. PLEASE plan to join us. If you plan to attend please let your child's teacher know on Monday morning. The All Steak Restaurant has worked with us to come up with several menus that we will be serving our children four days a week. PLT will be serving every Friday. Matt at the All Steak has stated that he wants the quality of the food to reflect on the All Steak since our children will be his future also. They will be delivering the food everyday and we will be serving the hot lunches to our children. Betty and I worked with Matt and came up with several menu items that we felt that all the children would mostly eat. As we all know we can not please every child every day, but we are striving to have something that each child will like everyday. The major thing will be that the food will be hot and on a plate. Matt has worked very hard to keep the cost down with losing quality. Charges will be $3.50 per child. You will be able to buy lunch cards for 10 lunches or $4.00 per single lunch. Visitors are welcome to join us for lunch and the cost will be $5.00 per person. We are going to need volunteers to help with the lunches. The times will be from 11:00 AM until 12:45 PM each day. This will be such an improvement over last years lunches, PLEASE help make the program a success for all of our children. I look forward to seeing and meeting all of you and also look forward to watching our school grow and minister to our community.
In His Service,
Nell Dunlap
